Your First Visit:

Perhaps your first visit to our office is the most importance one. It gives us a chance to get to know each other, begin to establish a good relationship, and begin to work toward common goals. After understanding your concerns Dr Christensen will review your medical and dental histories, prescribe necessary x rays, and then complete a comprehensive exam. He will check your teeth for decay, make sure your current fillings are intact, make sure your gums are healthy, and complete an oral cancer screening.

Depending on how healthy your gums are and when your last dental cleaning was, a cleaning may or may not be completed at your first visit. Your treatment options may also be presented at the first visit if your needed or desired treatment is uncomplicated. We want to take enough time explaining your dental options, explaining finances, and explaining insurance issues so you feel comfortable with your decisions regarding your dental health.

Financial Options:

We understand sometimes dentistry can be expensive, but we also do not want to create a financial hardship for any of our patients. We are careful to only recommend treatment that our patients can fit within their dental budget. Sometimes to complete the necessary/desired dentistry and keep it within our patients' budgets, we will suggest completing the treatment over the course of several months or even years.

In addition to accepting cash and checks, we also accept any major credit card. We also work with a third party financing company, CareCredit, to help some patients complete their dentistry right away while keeping their payments low. CareCredit offers 3,6, or 12 month interest free financing and 24-60 month low interest payment plans. There is no prepayment penalty, and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have about CareCredit.
