A veneer is a very thin, custom made porcelain coating placed over the front of a tooth to improve the tooth's appearance. They are very versatile and can be used to mask stained teeth, improve crowded teeth, and close gaps. Their appearance and strength rival natural teeth.

You no longer have to smile and be embarrassed from your dark, unsightly silver/mercury fillings. These dark, leaking mercury fillings can now be replaced with tooth colored composites and porcelain CEREC fillings. When a tooth has a small cavity or a small mercury filling is being replaced, the fillings that Dr Christensen places are tooth colored composite fillings. They are similar to plastic and will look and feel natural. When the cavity or silver filling is larger, or when a significant portion of the tooth is missing, Dr Christensen may suggest a porcelain CEREC filling. They are more durable than plastic fillings, look and feel like teeth, and in most cases can be completed in just one appointment!

These porcelain restorations are made in the office while you wait either in the front lounge or dental chair. The restoration is natural looking, since it is made out of a tooth colored ceramic material. CEREC technology allows Dr Christensen to save more healthy tooth structure and be extremely precise while designing your restoration.
